The International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) is the global union of soil scientists. The objectives of the IUSS are to promote all branches of soil science, and to support all soil scientists across the world in the pursuit of their activities. This website provides information for IUSS members and those interested in soil science.

Egyptian Soil Science Society (ESSS)

Who

The Egyptian Soil Science Society was established in1950. Member experiences covering the areas of soil and water sciences as well as the environment from all aspects including:

  1. Pedology of soils and include the framework of the inventory and land classification and mapping of topography, soil, agricultural and remote sensing.
  2. Chemistry and mineralogy of soils.
  3. The nature of the soil and water relationships and that includes the framework of studies of irrigation and field drainage.
  4. Soil fertility and plant nutrition including the framework of studies of fertilizers and fertilization.
  5. Microbiology and biogeochemistry of trace elements in the rhizosphere.
  6. Techniques of soil and that includes the framework of studies of land reclamation and soil conservation.
